LA Mission College Health and PE Fitness

LA Mission College Health & PE Fitness Center Case Study

In this case study, a new light weight concrete roof surface is placed over an old concrete surface on the Health & PE Fitness Center of the Los Angeles Mission College.

ROOF SURFACE PREPARATION: The surface is watered down followed by blasting with compressed air using an 185 CFM air compressor to remove contaminants such as laitance flakes, loose material dust and dirt. All grease or oil is removed from the surface.

Surface imperfections are smoothed with a wire brush and dirt is blasted from the surface.

WELD-CRETE® APPLICATION: Weld-Crete® is rolled and sprayed onto the prepared concrete surface at a rate of 125 sq. ft./gal. assuring a secure bond with the finish coat of new lightweight concrete.

CONCRETE APPLICATION: Light weight concrete is troweled onto roof surface which was treated with Weld-Crete and smoothed.
