HEALTH HAZARD DATA & ASSESSMENT
Health risk assessments on this product have been based on the individual components of the product.
EFFECTS OF OVEREXPOSURE:
- Inhalation:
Under normal conditions of use, toxic concentrations of vapors would be unexpected. Spraying in confined, unventilated spaces or heating the product may produce vapor concentrations high enough to produce irritation of the respiratory tract and symptoms of headache, dizziness, and nausea.
- Eye Contact:
Direct eye contact may be irritating. Vapors or mists from spraying may be irritating.
- Skin Contact:
Prolonged or repeated contact may cause irritation.
- Skin Absorption:
None of the components of this product are likely to be absorbed through the skin.
- Chronic:
The harmful effects of this product would be due to the toxic effects of ethylene glycol and residual vinyl acetate monomer. Overexposure should not occur due to concentrations <1%.
- Existing Health Conditions Affected by Exposure:
No known effects on other illnesses.
FIRST AID PROCEDURES:
- Inhalation:
Remove subject to fresh air.
- Skin Contact:
Wash affected area with soap and water.
- Eye Contact:
Flush immediately with water for 15 minutes. Consult a physician if irritation persists.
- Ingestion:
Dilute immediately with water and induce vomiting. Call a physician immediately.
SPILL, LEAK & DISPOSAL INFORMATION
- Spill or Leak Procedures:
Dike if necessary, contain spill with inert absorbent. Keep out of sewers, watersheds or water systems. Spills may cause slippery floors. Dried product is extremely hard to remove.
- Waste Disposal Method:
This product does not meet the definition of hazardous waste under the U.S. EPA Hazardous Waste Regulation 40 CFR 261. May be disposed of in accordance with standard procedures used with latex products per local, state, and federal regulations.
SPECIAL PROTECTION INFORMATION
- Eye Protection:
Wear safety glasses to reduce potential for eye contact; chemical safety goggles are appropriate if splashing is likely. Have eye washes available where eye contact can occur.
- Skin Protection:
Prevent prolonged or repeated contact by using rubber gloves and protective clothing. Launder contaminated clothing before reuse.
- Respiratory Protection:
None required with adequate ventilation. If needed, use MSHA-NIOSH approved respirator for mists ion combination with an organic vapor cartridge.
SPECIAL PRECAUTIONS
Product should be stored indoors where temperature is between 40°F and 100°F.
